A mum who ordered Peppa Pig birthday cake for her daughter’s second birthday didn’t quite get what she was looking for.

When Karen Moroney’s little girl Layla-Valentina turned two, Karen knew a Peppa Pig cake would be the perfect way to mark the celebration.

Karen put in an order with her local bakery and even supplied a photo of the popular cartoon character for reference.

“They asked me to bring in the image I wanted on the cake on a memory stick and they would scan it on to the cake”, Karen explained.

“So I did.

“The Peppa Pig picture was the only file on the USB”.

But when Karen, from Limerick, Ireland, went to pick up the cake, she got a lot more than she bargained for, The Irish Mirror reports.
Instead of Peppa, the shop had put a photo of the USB key on the cake.

Thankfully, they were able to rectify the mistake by hastily icing over the USB key and popping a printed-out photo of Peppa Pig on top.

Karen told The Irish Sun : “The cake tasted fab and we all had a laugh in the end . . .  and we got the price of the cake back!”

Layla’s father Kevin Moroney added: “We are laughing about it now. It’s a comedy show”.

It’s not the first time the bakery fudged Layla’s birthday cake order.

Karen ordered a cake for the little one’s first birthday but a mix-up at the bakery meant it was never made.

“We had to come back two hours later for her first birthday cake”, Karen said.

“The cakes are very nice, that’s why we went back again. Hopefully there will be no more drama!”
